About Us
Legacy Retrievers is located outside of Danbury, TX (only 45 minutes south of Houston.) We are a full time training facility that offers training for gun dogs, hunt tests, and obedience training for medium and large breed dogs. We also have a great puppy starter course (for those that are wanting to continue into field trials)
We have been in the business of running waterfowl hunts and training dogs for over 15 years. We have access to over 8,000 acres of training grounds. This ensures your dog will see many different types of scenarios on many different properties. That, combined with our years of experience training and in the field, will ensure that we will know how to best train your retriever.
We pride ourselves on the care and attention that each dog receives. Our open line of communication will keep you informed on the progression of your dog. At Legacy Retrievers creating a solid foundation is key, whether you are here for retriever or obedience training. After the foundation is set, we follow a step by step program that we customize to each dog. We want all our dogs to have a great work ethic and to thoroughly enjoy their job!
